Cisco Network Administration and Security
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Cisco Network Administration and Security provides training for those interested in working with Cisco network and Internet hardware with a particular emphasis on securing networks from threats and vulnerabilities. Knowledge and skills are developed to install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers and switches; configure routing protocols, and Local Area Networks (LANs); troubleshoot problems with various hardware and software configurations; perform administrative tasks in a network. Specific skills in maintaining integrity, accountability, and confidentiality of data are also developed. Taught by Cisco Certified professionals using the Cisco Network Academy program curriculum, courses are designed to help prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Security examinations. Students who complete this program may seek employment in a variety of environments. An additional Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), as well as an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Network and Systems Administration are also available at select colleges. Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
Students who pursue this Certificate of Completion (CCL) should have a basic level of computer literacy including navigating the internet and computer systems or take CIS105 as indicated in the required courses. Students with the requisite skills may have the CIS105 requirement waived by permission of the Program Director.
Courses within any of the following prefixes must be taken within five (5) years prior to completion of the program to be applied toward this award: AIM, BPC, CIS, CLD, CNT, CSC, ITS, and MST.

- Demonstrate knowledge of establishing a secure network. (CNT202, CNT205)
