This is our most flexible fund, allowing us to address a variety of needs as they arise.
STARS (Students Transformed to Achieve Radiant Success)
Driven by the high student loan default rate and a lack of scholarship opportunities available for students, SMCC faculty and staff created this endowed fund as a perpetual source of scholarship funding support.
Verna McClain Student Emergency Fund
Sometimes the most critical needs are the most basic, like books and supplies for course work, technology, or even a meal or a tank of gas to get to class.

A fund that provides support for students working full or part time while completing their degree. - Transborder Studies--Montiel/Jaap Scholarship
A scholarship for students planning to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree or minor in "Transborder Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies" at Arizona State University. - SMCC Legacy Scholarship

Employee Payroll Withdrawal
As an SMCC employee, you know firsthand how much our students need a little extra support. Your gifts to our employee giving campaign stay on our campus, helping our students with scholarships and support services. And, by the way, no gift is too small to make a difference – but you can make a larger gift over time by choosing the payroll withdrawal option.
