Phoenix Indian Center (PIC) and American Indian Student Center (AISC) will be hosting a Safeguarding Medications 101 Workshop that brings awareness to the harmful effects of prescription drugs. This workshop gives students, parents, grandparents, and community members tips for preventing their fatal overdoses. While the purpose of medication is meant for healing. When placed in the wrong hands, it can lead to lifelong problems of substance abuse, addiction and even death.

- Learn the best way to properly store and dispose of medications.
- Learn tips to prevent medicine misues and abuse.
