South Mountain Community College is launching the search process to complete the national recruitment for SMCC’s Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) and Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA) positions. This inclusive process is participatory and offers opportunities for the college and community to provide input at the beginning of the search process, as well as at the end, when invited finalists will participate in public forums.
SMCC has retained the services of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) to facilitate these competitive searches. Part of their role includes gathering input from constituency groups and the college community to assist with preparing a position profile, creating a strategy for advertising and recruiting, and working with the search committee to provide advice and support as needed.
ACCT invites you to engage in the search process by participating in upcoming Town Hall sessions where your voice is critical to the development of the position profiles that will be used for the recruitment of qualified candidates. You may also share your feedback via an anonymous survey. Your feedback will help ACCT to inform their work and that of the committee to best align the job description with the values and needs of the college and our community.
