Utility Cart Reservations
All utility cart operators must meet the following criteria before driving a cart on campus:
- Possession of a valid Arizona Driver’s License and provide a copy to the Events and Fleet Services Office.
- Motor Vehicle Review be conducted by the Events and Fleet Services Office.
- Review the understand the MCCCD Utility Cart Policy. (Download the PDF)
- Complete the Safe Use and Operation of Utility Carts training in the Employee Learn Center. (Download the PDF)
- Please print or email a copy of the Safe Use and Operation of Utility Carts training Certificate of Completion to the Even
- Operating rules to include equipment safety checks and be in functioning order: headlights, side and rearview mirrors, reflectors, horn, and brakes.
- Security of cart ignition keys.
- Driving safely, maintain low speed, and the appropriate use of utility carts.
- Violations of these procedures will be reported to College Police as an Incident Report. The operator’s supervisor will be notified. The use of a utility cart may be revoked at any time.
Reservation Process:
- South Mountain Community College employees, please submit all utility (golf) cart requests via 25Live Pro or via 25Live Pro Mobile Scheduling.
- On the 25Live Event Form, under the Locations Search, enter Cart.
- Please refer to the 25Live Pro Requestors quick reference guide.
- Please submit all utility (golf) cart requests at least 24 hours in advance via 25Live. We will strive our best for last-minute utility (golf) cart requests).
Return Process:
- Please return the utility (golf) cart to the PAC (Performing Arts Center) receiving dock area.
- Please connect the utility (golf) cart to the charger.
- Please return the utility (golf) cart pouch bag/key to Events and Fleet Services Office, FS-121 in the FS building. The FS building is adjacent to AR and MU buildings and the Central Plant. The FS building is open Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Please do not take the utility (golf) cart key pouch home with you.
- For after hours and weekends, there is a deposit box, outside of College Police building, to please return assigned the utility (golf) cart zipper pouch/keys.
- If a utility cart reservation needs to be canceled, please notify 24 hours prior to the utility cart departure.
