Honors Achievement Award
If you are a continuing college student with a 3.25 GPA and have completed a minimum of 12 Maricopa college credits you could qualify for the Honors Achievement Award (HAA)!
The Honors Achievement Award (HAA) is a participation-based scholarship that is awarded at the END of the semester, only after the successful completion of ALL the following HAA requirements.
In order to qualify, you must apply at the beginning of the semester. For example, if you want to participate in the Spring semester, you must apply at the beginning of the Spring semester. Once you are a participating member, and you maintain eligibility, you do not need to reapply.
How much does the scholarship award the student at the end of the Participating semester?
Participating students can receive between $244 - $500 per participating semester depending on how many credits they completed at the end of the semester.
See below for the award amount per credit hours:
If you complete:
- 12 or more hours - $500
- 9 to 11 hours - $325
- 6 to 9 hours - $244

Honors Achievement Award
- Enroll in and complete a minimum of six (6) letter-graded credits (100 level or higher) each fall and spring semester (Pass/Fail excluded unless degree specific but must be verified with College Honors Program before enrollment)
- Enroll in and complete with a grade of "C" or better in at least 3 credits of honors course work/contract each semester
- Maintain an MCCCD cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, including co-enrollment and dual enrollment grades
- Complete the required Co-Curricular Activities each participating semester as defined by the Honors Program
The award automatically renews for another semester as long as the scholarship requirements are met, if the student wishes to be removed they can be they will just need to request it directly with honors. (Students who request to be removed can always be re-instated by re-applying for the new semester)
